Someone replies “stop”. You note it down, and three sends later you text them anyway. The blacklist makes that impossible: a number on the list is skipped automatically, every time, without you having to remember it.

Address one message to twenty people and your messaging app turns it into a group conversation: everyone sees everyone's number and every reply lands with the lot. Turn on individual sending and Group SMS opens a separate private SMS or MMS chat for each contact instead.

Know what you are paying for before you hit send
Carriers do not bill messages, they bill segments. The compose screen counts them the way the network does — and tells you the moment a single pasted character halves what fits in one SMS.
- Segments, not charactersGSM-7 gives you 160 characters on their own, 153 per segment once the message is split. UCS-2 drops that to 70 and 67.
- The emoji warningOne emoji, a Cyrillic letter or a curly quote pasted from Word flips the whole message to UCS-2 and cuts your limit from 160 to 70. That is the most common cause of a surprise bill.

Android would let an app send SMS by itself — but only by taking over all your messaging. We chose not to. Here is what that means in practice.
We don't replace your messaging app
Sending directly on Android requires becoming your default SMS app: every conversation, every incoming message, routed through us. That is a huge ask for one feature. Group SMS builds the message and hands it to Google Messages, Samsung Messages or whatever you use — the app you chose and trust. Why we made that call →
The send lands in your real conversations
Because the message goes out through your own messaging app, it appears in your normal thread history with your normal carrier settings. No parallel pipeline that can disagree with what your phone actually did, no duplicate sends, no messages missing from the thread.
SMS to each person, not one group MMS

Smart Cleaner for lists built up over years
Duplicates and malformed numbers fail silently and cost you money every send. The cleaner now removes them rather than only counting them — and it looks for duplicates inside each list, keeping the first entry, so the same person legitimately present in two different lists is never touched. Frequently asked questions
Does the app send messages over the internet?
No. The app uses your phone's SMS and your plan: messages go out from your own number as regular SMS, with no intermediate servers and no account.
Does the app upload my contacts anywhere?
Never. All your groups, lists, and contacts stay stored locally on your phone. We use no cloud, collect no data, and have no access to your information.
Can I combine several groups and lists in one send?
Yes. You can select several groups and several distribution lists in a single send: the app totals the recipients and sends the same message to everyone.
Will everyone end up in the same group chat?
Not if you turn on individual sending. In Settings, switch on Individual sending (1-by-1) and the app opens a separate private SMS or MMS chat for each contact, so no group conversation is created and nobody sees the other recipients. It is also the reliable way to send a photo or a long message: those are exactly what gets mangled when one message is addressed to twenty people.
How does it keep my carrier from blocking the send?
If you are not sending individually, the app groups recipients into small blocks you size yourself rather than one huge burst, which reduces the risk of the limits carriers apply to bulk traffic. For a really large audience, Campaigns spreads the whole thing across several days.
Can I bring in a list from a spreadsheet?
Yes — export a CSV from whatever holds your list and import it as a distribution list, kept separate from your Android contacts. The importer works out the separator, the encoding and which column is which on its own, so a file exported from Excel or one full of accented names imports without you having to reformat anything first.
Do scheduled messages survive a phone restart?
Yes — that was rebuilt. Everything you queue is restored when the phone comes back up, each message carries its own status so you can see what has gone out, and you can create a new one straight from the Scheduled screen rather than starting from a group.
Someone asked not to be contacted again. Can the app remember that?
Yes. Add the number to the blacklist — by hand or straight from your contacts — and it is skipped automatically in every send path: groups, lists, templates, the wizards, scheduled messages and campaigns. Numbers are matched in normalised form, so the same person written three different ways is still recognised. Before each send you are told how many recipients were excluded.
How many SMS am I actually paying for?
The compose screen shows it while you type. An SMS is billed in segments: 160 characters in GSM-7, or 153 each once the message is split; a single emoji or curly quote switches the message to UCS-2 and drops that to 70 and 67. The counter shows the segments and, in the statistics, recipients × segments — the real number of SMS behind each send.
Can I move my groups and lists to a new phone?
Yes.
