Privacy Policy - Group SMS

This Privacy Policy describes the limited ways in which Group SMS collects and uses data when you use our application on iOS and Android platforms.

1. Limited Data Collection

Group SMS is designed with a strong focus on user privacy. We collect only:

• Advertising Identifier: The only personal identifier we collect is:
  • IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) on iOS devices
  • GAID (Google Advertising ID) on Android devices
  This identifier is used exclusively to provide relevant advertisements within the application. You can reset or limit this identifier in your device settings.
• Anonymous Data: All other data we collect is completely anonymous and cannot be used to personally identify you. This includes anonymous usage metrics that help us improve the application.

2. Use of Data

The limited data we collect is used exclusively to:

• Provide relevant advertisements within the application (Advertising ID only)
• Analyze anonymous usage patterns to improve features and user experience
• Resolve technical issues

3. SMS Permissions (Android Only)

On Android devices, the Pro version of Group SMS requires SMS permissions to send messages directly on your behalf. Important:

• We request SMS permissions only to send the group messages you create
• We do NOT collect, store, read, or transmit the content of your SMS messages
• We do NOT access or collect your contacts or phone numbers
• SMS are sent directly from your device using the native Android SMS functionality
• All message content remains private on your device

On iOS devices, the app opens the native messaging interface, and you send messages through the default iOS Messages app.

4. No Additional Personal Data Collection

It is important to emphasize that Group SMS does NOT collect:

• Name, email address, phone number, or other contact information
• Your account information
• Precise location data
• Contents of your communications or SMS messages
• Contact lists or phone numbers
• Any other personally identifiable data

5. Advertising

Our app may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks (Google AdMob). These networks may use the Advertising ID to show targeted ads based on interests.

How to limit ad tracking:

On iOS:

• Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
• Turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

On Android:

• Go to Settings > Google > Ads
• Turn on "Opt out of Ads Personalization"
• Or reset your Advertising ID

6. Anonymous Data

All usage data and analytics we collect are completely anonymous and aggregated. They cannot be used to identify individual users and are used exclusively to understand how the app is being used and to improve the user experience.

7. Data Security

Although we collect minimal data, we apply appropriate security measures to protect the anonymous data we collect from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

8. Third-Party Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Advertising ID to third parties outside of the advertising networks necessary to provide ads within the app (Google AdMob). Aggregated anonymous data may be shared with trusted service providers who help us manage and improve our app.

9. Your Rights

Since we collect minimal data, your privacy rights are naturally preserved. However, you still have the right to:

• Limit the use of the Advertising ID through your device settings
• Revoke SMS permissions on Android at any time through device settings (this will disable direct SMS sending in the Pro version)
• Contact us with any questions regarding our privacy practices

10. Children's Privacy

Group SMS does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

11. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may occasionally update our Privacy Policy. Any changes will be posted within the app or on this page with an updated "Effective Date."
